Have anybody had their engine replaced in American Engine Installations?
Q. I have. It sucks! I waited for a month and a half just that they would deliver the engine, where anywhere else the engine can be delivered in 3-4 days and replaced in a week. American Engine Installations is a big ripp off! They sign a contract with you first, which says if in any event you would like to take the car out of the shop, you still have to pay for the engine, plus fees that add up to be even more then a labor. So you can wait for months and pay or you can wait as far as your patience go and pay even more. I know people who waited as long as seven months for their engine and still got a deffective engine, so they had to come back in a few months. Do you have a similar story to tell?

A. No similar story. However, sometimes education is expensive. You have learned not to sign contracts like this one. You have learned to do research on a company before doing business with them. I really empathize with you but it sounds like your out of luck. You might want to contact an attorney to see if the contract is enforceable. Good Luck: Grumpy
